Sawmill Timbers and Lumber
We have two mills that produce timbers. These products are sawn from red pine (Norway), white pine and jack pine.
Timbers, up to 20' length
Timbers are cut on the circle saw carriage mill in lengths from 8 feet to 20 feet. The pine species are red pine (Norway) and white pine. Maximum cuts are 12 inches by 16 inches.
Timbers can be rough cut or surfaced 4 sides (S4S). Maximum size for S4S is 14 inches x 8 inches. This would require a minimum 20 inch diameter log. This product is normally sent to value-added pressure treater.
Timbers 42' Length
Timbers are cut on a special band saw carriage mill in lengths up to 42 feet. The pine species are red pine (Norway) and white pine. Maximum cuts are 12 inches by 16 inches with a tolerance of less than 1/8 inch. The pictured timbers are 6 inches x 6 inches, 42 feet in length.
Rough Sawn Lumber
Timbers and lumber can have the sawtooth marks on the wood to give a definite rough sawn look. These marks can be more pronounced depending on your specifications. Available in both circle saw and band saw surfaces.
Sawmill Custom Products
We have two mills that produce these custom products. These products are sawn from red pine, white pine and jack pine.
HT Squares and Lumber
Heat treating (HT) certification allows you, the customer, to use this wood for export packaging (crating and pallet parts). Our certification is through Northeastern Lumber Manufacturer Association (NeLMA). HT is performed in our kilns which is set at 180 degrees for 24 hours. This ensures that the wood is pest-free under International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures code 15 (ISPM 15).
Guard Rail Products
We have twenty plus years experience in producing timbers to highway guard rail specifications.
Custom Products
The mantle blank on the left (with the black line on the end) measures 25 inches wide, 8 inches thick and is 16 feet long with an additional 2 inches of trim. The two pieces on the right are 10 inches x 10 inches by 20 feet. These are made out of red pine.
Grooved Cants
We have the capability of single groove or double groove one side.
In addition, there can be grooves cuts on opposite sides.
4 x 4 KD & HT S4S EE
We have the capability to kiln dry (KD) or heat treat squares. Further processing can include surface 2 sides (S2S) or surface 4 sides (S4S).
As they are planed (S2S or S4S), they are eased edged (EE).
Specialty Boards
The tape reads 20 inches wide and 6 inches thick.
The board is 16 feet long.
